800 000 publications in the PIONIER Network Digital Libraries Federation!

On the 15th of November, 2011 the total number of publications in Polish digital libraries connected to the DLF reached 800 000.

The publication number 800 000 is Volyn Voivodeship Journal published on-line by the Jagiellonian Digital Library.

Data update in Europeana

Yesteraday Europeana updated information about resources from digital libraries connected via the PIONIER DLF. We are happy to announce that the publications number has increased by more than 100 thousand and it counts exactly 462 796 objects. The thumbnails are currently updated in the Europeana portal and should be visible withing the next few days. Furthermore, thanks to the new functionality in the PIONIER DLF, missing thumbnails were supplemented automatically for publications in DjVu and PDF format.

On the 15th of December the total number of publications in digital libraries cooperating with the PIONIER Network Digital Libraries Federation (PIONIER DLF) reached 0.5 million. Anniversary publication is 9254th issue of „Dziennik Polski” (Polish Journal) from 27th of November 1973, published on the internet by Małopolska Digital Library.

The number of digital libraries in the PIONIER network Digital Libraries Federation

The PIONIER network Digital Libraries Federation was first made publicly available in 22nd June, 2007. Then 16 digital libraries were connected to the PIONIER DLF. Today, the list is longer by 41 items(!) and there is 57 digital libraries. It is an increase of more than 3 times!

Polish Digtial Libraries Confernce programme is now available!

Yesterday the Polish Digital Libraries 2010 Conference programme was published on-line. The conference will be held between 18th and 22nd of October 2010 in Poznań, Poland.
